SriLankan Airlines
is bringing Sri Lanka’s unique tourist destinations closer
together by introducing SriLankan Air Taxi. Several popular
locations within the island are now easily accessible by air,
giving passengers more time to explore the beauty of Sri Lanka.
Utilising waterways, lakes and domestic airstrips, the air taxis
will initially operate from Colombo Bandaranaike International
Airport (BIA) to Kandy, Koggala, Bentota, Trincomalee, Anuradhapura,
Hingurakgoda and Dambulla (Dambulla to be confirmed by March
2004.) Flights can also be arranged between these points. These
services will not only reduce travel time drastically for both
tourists and business travellers, but will also provide them
with an opportunity to take day trips across the island and
capture the splendour of Sri Lanka from the air.
